Once again took part in the Egeli Studios intensive portrait and figure study workshop. Building skills and enjoying like minded
artists company!

SPRING/SUMMER 2010
March - National Women's Month: I was chosen to participate in The Anne Arundel County Arts Council Show, in participations
with the Womens' Council of Anne Arundel - Women's Art, Women's Vision. Chosen as one of 20 artists from 125 entries. I was
quite honored to be included! (my piece was a pastel plein air painting "Spa Creek Morning")
I also was chosen to take place in a juried show at the Pascal Gallery at Anne Arundel Community College; Women's Art. (a large
watercolor abstract "Sailing the Chesapeake).
I took part in a Mid-Atlantic Plein Air Painters Event - Paint Galesville. Two of my plein air pieces created in Galesville are hanging
at the River Gallery River Gallery 1000 Main St.in Galesville until May 9th. A reception will be held on April 24 from 3 to 5. All are
welcome! ("waiting for water" oil and "beach rocks and bail" oil)
I was juried into the Maryland Federation of Art's spring juried members show. My new piece "Spring Marsh" (watercolor) will be
shown. Reception will be held April 25th from 3 to 5 pm.
I have 3 pieces hanging in a show with the Annapolis Watercolor Club at the Arts Council of Anne Arundel County on Riva Road
through May.("Sunflower" "Mountain View Meadow" and "Main Street View")
I created a piece to be auctioned for the Baltimore Heritage Society 50th Anniversary celebration and historic building tour. ("red
Door, Mount Vernon Place United Methodist Church"...the church is part of the historic tour this year!)

I was awarded a second place ribbon for my watercolor painting"sky" and an honorable mention for my pastel painting "Capitol
view" in The Annapolis Arts Alliance juried show displayed at Quiet Waters Gallery in Annapolis MD. Showing until June 14th
I will continue my extended studies of pastel painting with Stan Sperlak in a 3 day Spring workshop held in New Jersey at his
studios and surrounding area.
I took part in the Mid Atlantic Plein Air Painters garden paint out in concert with The Easport Home and Garden tour on Sunday the
13th of June. My painting "hydrangeas" was sold during the event.
My pastel painting "Chesapeake Clouds" is showing in the Maryland Federation of Arts juried summer member show. The show
will be on view from June 16 - July 11 at the Maryland Federation of Art Circle Gallery, 18 State Circle, Annapolis, MD. The
reception will be held on Sunday, June 20 from 3-5pm.
this summer I will be teaching week long classes with the Kids in College Program at Anne Arundel Community College. 2
sessions of "Art A to Z", and one session of "Artistic Sampler". (http://www.aacc.edu/KIC/)
In July I will begin teaching an adult weekly Watercolor Class through the Anne Arundel Community College at the South County

I will be taking part in a show at Quiet Waters Park Gallery "Art in the Park 20th Anniversary Retrospective Exhibition. The show
features artists whose work has been displayed there in the past. My pastel still life, "the Fire Starter" will be on display August 5th
through September 19th.
The fall catalogue for Maryland Hall for the Creative Arts is out. I will be teaching an evening course; Pastel Painting for Adults. As
well as a course for the Arts Program for Bates Middle School "Color Study" (the middle school class is only open to art Program

MAY/JUNE 2006
I will be having a solo show of my work through the month of June at the Free State Press,79 West Street in Annapolis, MD.
Several new pieces will be on display as well as cards and prints of local Naval Academy and Annapolis scenes. There will be a
reception on Sunday, June 4th, from 5 t0 7 pm.
My commissioned Home Portrait of "Villa Vista", the Baltimore Symphony Associates Decorators' Show House can be seen on the
cover of their Show House book and on posters in and around the Baltimore Area advertising the BSA Decorator Show House.
Villa Vista is a beautiful mansion north of Baltimore that has been decorated by several interior designers. Home tours raise funds
for the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra.
A detail from my painting "Abstract Annapolis - Cityscape 1" (you can see the image on my "More Art" page) can be seen on
posters and brochures advertising "ARTWORKS 06". A citywide celebration of the arts in Annapolis from May 31 to June 4.

I will have pieces on display with the Annapolis Watercolor Club at The Artist's Framer, on Bayridge Ave. in Eastport (Annappolis)

I will have a work on display with the Annapolis Arts Alliance at their annual "SPLASH" show at City Hall on Duke of Glocester in
Annapolis, MD during the month of June.
I'm teaching "Impressionistic Art for Kids" for the St. Mary's HSA afterschool enrichment program during May. Sharing the fun of
painting with some very enthusiatic children!
June 2 through 4 I will be studying with John Ebersberger in an outdoor portrait and figure workshop, learning the Hensche "mud-
head" approach, which focuses on the relationship of light and color as it falls on the subject.
June 4 to 30 Watercolor "Approaching Storm" will be on display at the Maryland Federation of Art juried member show. Reception
will be June 15, 5 to 7 pm.
SUMMER/FALL 2006
July 8 to August 5 watercolor "Seattle Night" will be on display at the Maryland Federation of Art juried regional show "Water
Works". Reception July 20, from 5 to 7 pm.
July 20 to October 31 "Brown Jug, Apples and Bowl" will be on display with the Annapolis Watercolor Club at the Arts Council of
Anne Arundel County, 2666 Riva Rd. Annapolis. A reception will be held on Thursday, August 10 from 3 to 6 pm.
September 6 to October 30 I will have an oil painting, "Dora's Palm in Summer", displayed with the Mid-Atlantic Plein Air Painters
Asso. at Annapolis City Hall, at 160 Duke of Gloucester St.. The Opening Reception will be Thursday, September 21, from 5 to 7
pm.

Watercolor Club group show.
February 5 to March 5 "Sky" and "Under the Academy Bridge" on display at the Maryland Federation of Art's member's juried
Winter Show. Reception is Thurday, Feb. 15, 6 to 8.
"Spring on Upshur Road, USNA" and ""Mountain View Meadow, Olympics, WA" will be up for auction at the Arts Council of Anne
Arundel's annual Mardi Gras celebration and fundraiser on Feb. 17th at the Sheraton Annapolis Hotel.
February and March, 2007 I will be teaching "Introduction to Watercolor" to middle schoolers for St. Mary's School Enrichment

Winter and Spring I will be studying oil painting, Impressionism with John Ebersberger, at Maryland Hall for the Creative Arts.
January 11 to February 17, 2007, Recent plein air oil paintings will be on display with at Strathmore Hall with a group show of the
Mid-Atlantic Plein Air Painters Association. Opening reception is January 14th, 1 to 3 pm.
SPRING 2007
March 2007, "Brown Jug, Pot and Apples" and "Approaching Storm" will be on display at Gallery 1683, Main Street, Annapolis with
the Annapolis Watercolor Club Show. Reception will be St. Patrick's Day, Saturday, March 17th, from 5 to 8.
March 26, 2007 I will be juror for St. Mary's Fine Arts Week show.
March 31, 2007 I will be demonstrating watercolor painting at Gallery 1683 (above) between 1:00 and 5:00

Sept 6 My watercolor painting "Under the Academy Bridge at Dusk" will be up for auction at Arts Alive in support of Maryland Hall

My painting "Surreal Sunrise" was accepted into the Maryland Federation of Art Fall Show.
WINTER 2007/2008
My painting "Holidays at City Hall, Annapolis" was chosen to be the official holiday card by the city of Annapolis, MD
I will be demonstrating, and signing prints at Hard Bean Coffee and Booksellers (City Dock Annapolis) during "Midnight Madness"
December 6th from 7:30 to 9:30pm (an Annapolis downtown late night Christmas shopping event), to introduce my cards and
prints carried in the shop.
I will be participating in a two week intensive drawing and painting course at the Egeli studios in January 2008.
I will be part of a group show, with 11 other artists at the Maryland Federation of Art, Feb. 5 to Feb 17. Reception will be February
10, from 3 to 5 pm. I will be featuring new work in my Abstract Annapolis series

I was unable to update my website all summer! But here's a quick...re-cap...
I continued portrait and figure work at Egeli studios 2 to 3 times a week.
I studied pastel landscape with Bonnie Roth Anderson in the Spring
I did a June beach-side figure painting workshop with John Ebersberger.
I had 3 paintings accepted into the juried Annapolis Watercolor Club show held at Quiet Waters Park in Annapolis.
I did a plein air pastel landscape workshop with Stan Sperlak in the summer.
I worked on Public Relations and Publicity for Paint Annapolis 2008 and had a radio interview along with Lee Boynton on radio
station WNAV.
I taught 2 courses during the summer at Anne Arundel Community College.
I took part in the Annapolis Arts Alliance show at city hall in July.
FALL 2008
I worked through the year as an active member of the Paint Annapolis committee toward the event held in mid-September.
I took part in "Dueling Brushes" a timed painting competition on Sept 20th. My pastel painting (St. Mary's Steeple) done during the
event is exhibited at Maryland Hall for the Creative Arts until the end of October.
I have 4 piece hung with the Mid-Atlantic Plein Air Painters Association at the City Hall Gallery - "Winters Farm", Dark Ages -
USNA", "Winter Tree" and ...heck if I can remember right now..
I will be taking part in the Annapolis Watercolor Club show and demonstration at Linthicum Walks on Oct 11th and 12th. My
paintings "Behind Linthicum Walks" (which was painted during last year's demonstration there) and "Cabbage Rose" will be on
display and for sale.
I will be donating a piece of art for the Maryland Federation of Art's 32nd Collector's Choice event, October 26th.
My small work "Snow Day" will be exhibited with the Annapolis Watercolor Club at St. John's College gallery in Annapolis.
I continue to teach private art lessons.
I will be teaching "Art Fun-damentals" at the Anne Arundel Community College in October.
I am studying the sculpture of the head with Rick Casali (long time student of John Ebersberger and Cedric and Joenette Egeli) at
the Maryland Hall for the Creative Arts.
I will have ongoing oil portrait painting studies during the fall.
3 watercolors are in the Deck the Halls show at the Maryland Hall for Creative Arts, reception is Saturday, Nov. 15 from 3 t0 5.

WINTER 2009
I have two pieces in the juried winter show at the Maryland Federation of Art, Circle Gallery. Saint Mary's Steeple, Annapolis (pastel), and Spa
Creek Morning (pastel) which won an Honorable Mention. The show will be on display Through February 5th, 2009.
January 19 to 30th I will be taking part in the Egeli Studios portrait and figure intensive 2 week workshop, as I did last winter.
I will be teaching Art Fun-damentals for Anne Arundel Community College's Kids in College program beginning February 5th, 2009.
SPRING 2009
I am studying impressionist still life painting with John Ebersberger at Maryland Hall for the Creative Arts this spring. (I have studied on this
subject with him several times, and build my skills with each course)
I have two pieces in the annual juried Annapolis Water Color Club show at Maryland Hall for the Creative Arts. Show dates are March Through
April 20th.
I will have a piece hanging at City Hall with The Annapolis Arts Alliance annual SPLASH show during the months of May and June.

I was chosen last year to create the artwork for the 2009 Easport Yacht Club Parade of Lights poster...I will be diligently working on that this

SUMMER 2009
My still life pastel "the Firestarter" was chosen for the Maryland Federation of Arts Spring juried show. It will be on display into July.
I have 2 pieces hanging in the Anne Arundel Community College Cade gallery show, Heliotrope. An oil portrait (Cameron) and a indoor scene in
watercolor (Saint Peter's Light) through July.
I have 2 pieces (a new piece - "View from Main Street, Annapolis"..painted while I demonstrated at Gallery 1683, and another plein air piece,
"Over College Creek")showing with the Annapolis Watercolor Club at Gallery 333 in Annapolis. They will hang until July, and then be trasferred
to a show at the Arts Council of Anne Arundel on Riva Rd for a show there.
I will be teaching 3 week long art classes at Anne Arundel Community College this summer for their Kids in College program. You can check

I continue to enjoy teaching privately at home and am still studying portraiture as well as working on commissions and looking forward to some
plein air landscape painting now that it's warming up!
I have 3 pieces hanging ("After the Snow" a watercolor, "Saint Peter's Light, Vatican" - watercolor and "Cameron- watching me paint - portrait in
oil)in the Maryland Federation of Art Circle gallery in their "wall to wall" Salon style show. reception is Sunday, August 2, from 3 to 5 pm. If you

I will have 4 summer themed pieces hanging at the new Gallery space in the Market House at City Dock in Annapolis. "Summer Girl" (a John
Ebersberger plein air beach workshop piece) in oil, "City Dock view" (a pastel, done in plein air last summer from in front of the Market House,
capturing the view of the dock, right across the street), "River Sunset" (a plein air piece done in palette knife, oil) and "Severn Cliffs" (a
watercolor piece, also plein air, done during a Lee Boynton workshop)
I will be donating private/small group art lessons for teen or adult and a piece of my art to the up-coming Arts Alive! Auction at Maryland Hall for
the Creative Arts on Sept. 11 2009.
I enjoyed demonstrating at the City Dock Market House twice this summer. Met some interesting people and talked about some fun art
opportunities in Annapolis.
I studies with prominent pastelist, Stan Sperlak, this summer on Kent Island, MD for 4 days. I took away some wonderful techniques.
FALL 2009
I taught 2 courses at Anne Arundel Community College Kids in College program this fall, Drawing fundamentals and Abstract Art, during the
month of October.
I have 3 pieces hanging at the Maryland Federation of Art Market House space at City Dock. 2 new pastel paintings "Spa Creek" and "Capitol
view" and the watercolor I painted while demonstrating at Gallery 1683 "View from Main Street". During September.
My prints and cards continue to be available at Hard Bean and Coffee Booksellers at City Dock, Annapolis. Naval Academy scenes are featured
this fall.
This fall I will continue to study the figure and portrait, with pastel portrait and a figure sculpture workshop at Maryland Hall for the Creative Arts.
November 4th was the unveiling of the artwork I created for the Eastport Yacht Club 2009 Lights Parade Poster. Posters and cards are available
for sale at downtown Annapolis locations. the EYC Lights parade takes place on Dec. 12th!
I have 6 pieces hanging at the Maryland Federation of Art Market House space through November.

I am studying figure drawing and portrait painting with Cedric and Joanette Egeli in January. The workshop is an intensive, two week, full day (9
to 4) program. This is my 3rd year to participate in their program, and I see the benefits of my past and ongoing studies. Yay!
I will continue to teach privately at home as well as courses at the Anne Arundel Community College.
